Welcome to this preview of The Approved List—your definitive guide to curating a wardrobe and lifestyle that’s both luxurious and sustainable. From clothing to must-have resources, consider this your go-to for guilt-free indulgence.
Darlings, what can I say?
February was long and deeply intense—a la major Saturn Return vibes. But alas, we move and do what we can in the meantime.
I’ve missed you all terribly and my apology gift is a robust—and long overdue— Approved List of styled fits for the spring. Spring is a tight runner up to Fall for the best season of fashion (maybe my opinion would be different if I didn’t live in humid Georgia) but these outfits are no way second rate.
Before we get into the looks, we can never forget our Fabric Snob scale rating the sustainability of each garment because polyester would never be chic. The guidelines are clear but your opinion is subjective, so grade with your values in mind.
I’ll save the pleasantries and updates for the next post, so let’s dive into some envy-worthy ensembles.

Look 1
Starting the season off in a breathable cotton corset jumpsuit, styled with a light and airy color palette of greens, yellows, all accented by a snake leather print purse, this spring is bound to bring you a bounty of compliments. For texture, the neck is accentuated with a silk scarf and the shoes pop with calf hair mules.
Look 2

Spring is notorious for trench coats, so of course, we have to elevate the typical with this cotton, patchwork-esque jacket, paired with a blue, white-stripped shirt dress, highlighted with red accessories, particularly the snake skin pumps. The collection of of traditional staple pieces and contemporary elements elevate a timeless look and usher it into the 21st century.
Look 3

For those random chilly Spring days, this wool blend cape is perfectly paired with this cotton bodysuit and denim leopard pants. Playing with the juxtaposition of neutrals, the metallic and black slick backs are a chic parallel to the black and leather cream bucket bag.
Look 4

With Spring, rain is inevitable, so why not fair it in style? Unlike every other recommendation on the Approved List, the star of the show, the transparent rain coat, is made of polyurethane. I know, I know, it’s giving hypocrite. HOWEVER, this is a functional piece that can be worn with pretty much anything so I’ll allow this exception. Since the coat is transparent, I’m playing with pattern and silhouette with this stripped wool top, denim jorts, and knee-high ocean blue stiletto boots. All accented with a leopard belt, baby blue clutch, and silver jewelry.
Look 5

Arguably, this wool floral cape is the star of this round-up, as it inspired this collection. In actuality, the cape is long enough to be worn as a dress, but for the sake of this styling (and for the more conservative babes) I also included this cashmere, sleeveless dress (that can be hiked to hide under the cape hem), berry plum knee-high boots, accessorized with fern green shades, a bubble gum pink vanity purse and silver watch.
Look 6: Date Night

Warmer weather calls for the return of first dates, mini dresses and sandal heels. This linen orchid dress doesn’t need much— it’s a work of art on its on. To complement the dress, it’s styled with crystal-embellished earrings, a textured bubblegum pink clutch, silver sandals, and silver jewelry.
Look 7: Brunch with the Girls

Brunch on the patio season is finally back, so heads must be turned. This cashmere textured dress is perfectly paired with the eye-catching geometric wedged boots that can survive any bottomless mimosa brunch. To add a bit more hued visual interest, the outfit is completed with this multi-colored clutch and thick aviator sunglasses with pink lenses.
Look 8

The traditional Burberry check is basically synonymous with Spring. For the cooler weather days, this cape is the perfect throw over a cotton (perfectly) cropped t-shirt and denim barrel jeans. To break up the neutral palette, these denim geometric sling backs add a fun element, along with the complementing metallic clutch.
Look 9

Of course, to round off this collection, we have to end in hues of lilac and lavender. For the cooler nights, pair a plum leather skirt with a cotton jersey tee, topped with a wool lavender coat and leather boots with a geometrically shaped heel and a lilac-faced watch.
Incredible style is just one of the many reasons I am counting down to the start day of Spring. From color, to texture to silhouette, this upcoming season is poised to be the most fabulous yet.

I just found you and I’m in love! The styling??? The approachable yet sophisticated writing?? The sustainability focus and critical thinking weaved throughout?? Amazing.
Can I just say I adore how you use polls? And your graphics game just somehow keeps getting better and better every time I read your work. The vibes are immaculate babe. Keep it up. PS: I'm having my own outfit ranking debate looking at some LOVEIST kimono dusters that I was hoping were cotton (breathable enough for the beach but still layer friendly enough for casual errands) but turns out they're 100% linen. Not sure if I should go for it! Opinions from my lilac queen, please??? <3
